Owlet Accessory Fabric Sock for Smart Sock 2 Baby Monitor

I always thought marrying a pediatric ER specialist would mean that I never really
have to make hospital visits for my children because they’ll get all their checkups at home
by their dad. Never had I imagined it would become so difficult to navigate the moment we
have our own baby. I blame it on my husband’s profession where all he does is deal with
baby emergencies all day long. That is when we finally became first-time parents to our
gorgeous little girl, his hospital experience compounded into his protective parenting
instinct and essentially made him a hawk who didn’t want the baby out of his sight.

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is a tragic and unexplained cause of death that
typically occurs in babies under the age of one. The exact cause of SIDS remains
unknown. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),
approximately 1,500 babies die each year in the United States from SIDS. White the
incidence rate has been on a decline in recent years, as luck would have it, four of my
husband’s first case during his residency was SIDS. I think he developed some form of
trauma to this particular way of a child’s passing. He had mentioned many times how
whenever a patient came in with accidents and medical emergencies, he felt confident
enough to handle the case, but SIDS was something that always made him feel helpless.
Especially because it was hard to come up with a sound reason to give parents as to why it
happened.

The rate of SIDS has decreased significantly in recent years due to increased awareness and
preventative measures. Most of these measures involve safety protocols for when the infant
goes to sleep to ensure they don’t accidentally roll over and inhale carbon dioxide or don’t
run too hot while they nap. All of this means I knew we were going to get the most
advanced baby monitor ever invented to pacify my husband’s concerns. But while I
searched for the ones with the best HD reception through video, my husband, always ahead
of the game told me he had already ordered the Owlet Accessory Fabric Sock Smart Baby
Monitor for our girl.

Owlet Smart Sock 2 | Accessory Fabric Sock 2 Baby Monitor

Elevate your baby monitoring with the Owlet Accessory Fabric Sock, compatible with the Smart Sock 2 Baby Monitor. Crafted for optimal comfort and accuracy, this soft and breathable sock ensures your little one’s safety and your peace of mind. Keep tabs on their vital signs with confidence.

This was the first time I found out about an Owlet Smart Sock 2 baby monitor. More commonly known as
baby movement monitors, they have become increasingly popular in recent years due to
their unique features and advantages over traditional baby monitors. My husband was
absolutely resolute that this was the only type of baby monitor that parents should invest
in. It was only after I started using the product that I realized the convenience and the wide
range of safety touch points it provides the parents, the absence of which now I find hard to
imagine.

My Review Of Owlet Accessory Fabric Sock

Simple Design:

The Owlet sock 2 is incredibly easy to use and slips right onto our baby’s foot. It was soft and comfortable, and because our baby was born in winter and already had her feet padded by socks, she didn’t seem to mind wearing the Owlet Baby Monitor at all.

Complimentary app:

The device can be connected to an app that’s compatible with both Android and iOS. Once connected it provides you with real-time updates about your baby’s heart rate, oxygen levels, sleep analytics, and sleep trends. These can help give parents a comprehensive wellness report that can then be shared with the baby’s doctor or hospital visits. It’s a great way to tabulate the baby’s growth especially when all the information is displayed in a user-friendly visual chart form easily accessible through the phone.

Hygienic:

One of the best things about the Owlet sock is that it can be washed easily to ensure proper hygiene. It’s also made of breathable, hypoallergenic fabric, which makes it
safe and comfortable for babies to wear. Since my daughter continued to wear it while she
crawled, she made it plenty dirty. Being able to separate the machinery from the fabric and
wash it regularly in the washing machine without worrying about damage or color leaking
was a great relief.

Sleep Insight:

The wellness insights on the Owlet app are quite comprehensive when it comes to the baby’s sleep patterns. You can find out how long the baby is sleeping and often how deep. This was a great help when I was trying to set a routine because it gave me a good history of the times in which my daughter slept best and what worked and what didn’t. Overall, it was something that numerically helped me strategize her sleep schedule to efficiency.

Overall, the Owlet Accessory Fabric Sock for the Smart Sock Baby Monitor has been a
fantastic investment for the family. It has given my husband the peace of mind he needed to
ensure our baby’s safety and monitor her sleep effectively, while it gave me the peace of
mind that our daughters’ lifelong dedicated healthcare provider now has all the tools he
required to meet our baby’s needs.

Features:

Hygienic: Easily detachable from the electric device, the sock can be machine washed.

Breathable Fabric: Soft and breathable fabric ensures comfort for the child during
prolonged wear.

Detailed Insights: Real-time updates about the baby’s heart and oxygen rate provide
opportunity to minimize accidents.

Sleep Schedule: Graphical insights on baby’s sleeping patterns help formulate the best nap
routines that keep both mama and baby happiest.
